To be honext this is the first time I’ve heard of this band, but really Fame is not an issue here. Now I didn’t really like it when it first premiered as Gundam Seed’s final OP, cause to me it felt really out of place,but alas after listening to it a few times through, it turned out the song grew on me, and yes i came to appreciate the duo’s sultry voices ^^, but honestly the original version was just……good, nothing amazing or anything, but on Sunday, my trusty PMP churned out something unexpected which really caught my attention for some unknown reason. So…Today awoke to see a tweet, stating that Danny would be doing an interview with local radio station 938Live, so decided to tune in and see what juicy new info he might be giving out. Turns out it was a combined interview, together with some other AFA committee folks. Anyway had this crazy idea to try record the interview using a method i have never tried before, so after keeping my fingers crossed and recording for a total of 40 mins (roughly 2-1 GB in size =O) and a bit of rough editing, the clip for those poor souls that didn’t know or were in school is located after the break ^^

AFAX Committee 938LIVE Interview

On another issue related to AFAX, Hanazawa Kana (Seiyuu of Kanade (Tenshi) from “Angel Beats!”  and Kobato from “Kobato”, just to name a few ;D) is already slated to come to Sunny Singapore for AFAX.

However, to our surprise, no Meet & Greet, nor Autograph session is to be held for her! D= So, as a responsible fan, my friend Saiseki made an online petition for fans of her and her work to urge her manager to organise some kind of event aforementioned. So if you’re a fan of Hanazawa or the Character she does and would like a Meet & Greet or Autograph session, Sign This petition and we might get a shot at it! ;D

The Manga & Anime! Japan exhibition caught my eye when i happened to see a Flyer of it laying around at my local Kinokuniya bookstore. So after securing a friend to accompany to see whats it about, I finally made my way to the Japan Creative Centre for the aforementioned exhibition.

It was my first time to the Japan Creative Centre, and it was a peculiar place indeed ^^;; Located some way off the well-known Orchard Road shopping district, it was surprisingly ulu (ulu is a singaporean way of saying out of the way) for a building within walking distance to hotels and other various popular shopping complexes. It had a nice atmosphere about it though and while the outside wasn’t as “Japanese” as i had imagined from the name, it was a nice, cosy place.

Upon entering the building, we were greeted by the above sight ^^ Don’t be fooled though, those are just pictures of mangas on a shelf ^^;; though there is a 200 metre long wall at the Kyoto International Manga Museum, which i think was what they were trying to recreate, at least in feeling.

Various facts about mangas were plastered on the walls, like how mangakas earn their ricebowls etcetc. It was really informative and anyone, be it anime/manga lover, aspiring mangaka or just Japanese culture lover would enjoy these random facts.

On one of the walls, the ranking of Manga ,based on the no. of first edition that was circulated, was shown. On it was the usual titles like Bleach, Naruto and Nodame Cantabile, but personally, I was pleased to see….

and MORE MANGA! They had Bleach, Bakuman and D.Grayman just to name a few…and even some more older, but recognizable mangas XDD

Yes. Whats more, is that all these mangas were available for your reading pleasure! Yeap, you could just pick one up and read it (within the building only of course XDD)! Well, thats if you can read japanese. if you can’t, you can be like me and just browse the art ^^;;

Speaking of art…

there was a mini gallery of sorts featuring several art works depicting several well known anime/manga drawn, with a local twist of sorts. A collaboration between Animax and oicsingapore. The artworks were based on manga/anime characters, but the local artist were given free reign on how to draw em… producing some rather interesting results…if you want to see the art works, you can just click here complete with description and all that! O and visitors to the exhibition can go to the link provided and, with a password given at the exhibition, vote for their favorite art pieces and stand to win some nice prizes ^^

There were also some illustrations of some early Shoujo art hung on the wall, which i have to say are very beautifully drawn XDD

And in another section, they showed off some of the more popular animes and their respective merchandises that are airing on Animax, some of the titles shown were Shakugan no Shana, Kaichou wa Maid-Sama, K-ON!, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Inuyasha and Fairy Tale.

Seeing all the related merchandise was nice, but what intrigued me, or ratehr worried me was how the Mio figure was displayed. I mean they just left her standing on the box (which was just pasted there? O.o;;;) and she was molested countless times by curious people who caught sight of her. I do not even want to begin to think how many times she had her pantsu seen by boys, girls and toddlers (yes, toddlers were playing  around with her too) I was just worried someone would knock the box or drop her accidentally and she would break >.< not to mention with so many hands touching her, she was getting dirtier by the minute ^^; (Not that kind of dirty tho! XDD) Just been informed by comrade Alyukito that she’s a bootleg =w=. meh /feels cheated

Another merchandise that caught my eye was a Kagome, of Inuyasha fame, figurine

What caught my eye wasn’t her sculpt (which isn’t too shabby imo XDD) but rather the fact she is sitting ontop of a beverage bottle ^^;;; have never seen this before, though i believe this to be one of those UFO catcher toys ^^;;;

O and did i mention that Kyoto InternationalManag museum is also giving out free selected mangas from their collection as souvenirs to all visitors while stock lasts! Just don’t expect the titles to be new ^^;;;;

Hey guys, yeap here’s another sporadic blog update for anyone who’s interested (which unfortunately is very few OTL) So heres a quick few updates of life and what I’ve been doing ^^;;

First off it’s already my holidays for almost a month now, but a combination of being busy, lazy and uninspired meant no posts from me (/apologizes ^^;;;).

Wanted to get a job to help get some cash (for a yet unannounced fund I’m trying to build up), however failed to obtain one and with my holidays approaching only slightly more than a month to go =/ I’m kinda doubting my chances of getting one during this holiday. Hence fund remains at zero as money is slowly siphoned off to pay off for orders and the random/occasional outings. Speaking of which I actually have received a decent amount of loot during this long period of absence/silence, but as mentioned above those factors kept me from busy. Finding Jobs doesn’t make me that busy, yeap rather….

The fact that moving is what is taking up most of my time. I’m helping out (or rather just tagging along on the request of my mother) during the days to go to the new house to help her out (even though io done minimal work there =w=;;;) yeap…Quite excited for the new place, has a study/guest room with Glass walls (O_o;;;) and the layout…is well…unique. When I’m done shifting, I’ll show you guys around.

Also I’ve attended several events such as EA’s Gaming showcase, and the Recent WLNF gathering at Kodomut’s house. Didn’t take any pictures at both events (even though I had my camera with me ^^;;)  but you can check out the pics at Kodomut’s Blog. Also attended the recent A.C.M.E.II event. Was hoping for some nice Saber stuff, but all they had were two posters done by Xeph, a local artist who i like very much, which i promptly got. Most of the merchandise there was either Nanoha, or Touhou related, both which I don’t have such a keen interest in.

Anyway I believe Wall of text is a wall hence I shall end this here, with something I did just now for bout 45 mins?

yeap this is one of the posters i got from A.C.M.E.II, and i’m framing her her in preparation for the move to the new house. thanks to Zh3us, Dom, Saiseki, and Scorch for accompanying and helping me out with the frame at Ikea! ^^;;  Centering her was quite a task without the white insert given…so gave up and used the insert as well…MUCH MUCH EASIER. lol. 5th : Taneshima Popura (種島ぽぷら) from Working!!

UWAFUWA HAIR <3 lol, seriously, SHE’S JUST TOO CUTE TOO RESIST. That innocent, childlike attitude WHO CAN SAY NO????? (And no, I’m not a loli or minicon =w=) the only reason why she’s the last in this list is because…well she’s just cute lol, nothing else. O did i mention FUWAFUWA HAIR <3~

4th : Ruriko Ikusawa (生沢 ルリ子) from Gate Keepers

Also known (affectionally) as Rurippe for her runny nose when she was young, she comes from one of the first few anime I watched on AXN (ahhh those were the days.) I guess me rooting for her and Ukiya Shun (which in itself is no surprise seeing as to they’re the main pairing and two main characters of the show) was the start of me liking romance anime…hmmm…Still she was merely eyecandy with a love story which i took to. os hence 4th place to her.

3rd : Hanato Kobato (花戸 小鳩) from Kobato.

In 3rd place comes CLAMP’s Collector of Konpeito (is that how u spell it? =/), Dobato I meant Kobato is really too sweet not to be on this list. Her clumsy nature, natural singing ability and rather strong determination, coupled with her sad story just stole my heart. Being cute also helped too of course XDD. She and the next person are almost on par…

2nd : Aisaka Taiga (逢坂 大河) From ToraDora

A happy Taiga is a well-fed one XDD

In 2nd place, It’s Toradora’s palm-sized heroine, Aisaka Taiga! What attracted me would probably be her tsundere nature.  Not that I like all tsunderes. I don’t know actually… like the main reason why I like her =/ I just do. maybe i like how shes both tough and loving (duh tsundere) But what places her over Kobato would be that she’s more “realistic” and belivable.  No I’m not lookign for someone like her XDD ( or am I?)

And. Finally We reached the HOLY GRAIL of this list. Infact, You’ve seen her already, Yes at the very FIRST picture of this post…

1st : Saber (セイバー) from Fate/Stay Night

Yes yes the King of Knights, Saber is my most favourite female anime character =D. I like most of the variations, Casual, Armour, Lily and CERTAIN versions of Alter (like the one above XDD) Main draw point would be most probably because she’s so damn graceful, elegant, strong and vulnerable at the sametime.  can’t think of more reasons…. fanboy impulses are taking over >.< So i leave you with a list of other girls that din’t make it be really deserve a mention.
